In the past seven days, I’ve been chased down the road by a pack of sled dogs, hiked in Denali National Park, watched karaoke on the Tanana River, written an article about neighborhood sonic booms, partied with a family who lives in a sod igloo in the Arctic tundra, killed approximately 17 mosquitoes and spent 168 hours of daylight. All in all, it beats packing sand. Fairbanks is cool and I’ve seen about 1 nano-dot of Alaska so far.
